Fairly easy install relatively speaking.
I'm super picky and installed these on a brand new 2026 mx5rf club....and am super happy with the results ,appearance and functionality of these awesome fang lights. The lights have a cool look to them like a tv tube style screen casting white or yellow while they don't exactly match the colors of the stock drls of turns the effect is cool and I'm good with it. There maybe other ways of installing these but this was the route I took. Some installation notes: I used about 15 ft of 1/8" flexible plastic conduit and strategically hid it so nothing looks modified under the hood... I was worried about disturbing the CANbus circuit of the 2026 headlights on the ,turns,drls so I tapped the turns into the side turns which comes with bulbs from the factory, separate wires were used which connect to the yellow wires from the fangs, I did replace the sides with blacked out sequential LEDs at the same time.......any how I used the small red 18-22 red posi tap splices which are kinder to the wire , spliced into the red wire of the side turn signal , then ran it into the engine compartment following the side turn signal wire. You can just undo a few push button clips in the rear of the front wheel fender liner to push the side turn signal out of the body and splice it there...zip tie it a couple inches up from the posi tap to stabilize everything . For the drls I got a low profile piggyback fuse tap and used the accessory outlet fuse location, in the left driver's foot well...using a coat hanger I gently fished a separate wire through the bottom of the hood release cable grommet in the firewall ,it helps to tin about 2 inches of the wire to help guide it through the grommet.....the low profile fuse tap I got worked but the fit was not great and modification to the tap ensued. Basically the plastic between the two fangs of the fuse was too thick, a fingernail file knocked it down to the thickness of the original fuse, not perfect but worked , as a consolation the fuse bo
